Gabriela Cândea (f), PhD, is a graduate of the Faculty of Sciences in Sibiu, with master's degree in quality management systems, in Parallel and Distributed Processing Systems and a doctoral thesis focused on improving the quality in production planning through knowledge capitalization. She has years of experience in European research, her journey in research began with the digital transformation of manufacturing workflows and now continues with projects that support health and community-focused solutions. Her expertise lies in Knowledge Management, Knowledge Capitalization, Project Management, Dissemination, and Technology Transfer, with a strong emphasis on enabling collaboration in research environments. Gabriela has authored numerous publications and contributed as a data analyst and modeler in health-related projects, including research on cardiovascular treatment using Multifractal Modeling (MFM). As part of the ROPARDO team, she has played an active role in projects supported by both the Romanian Government and the European Commission, covering areas such as eHealth, manufacturing, ICT, IoT, and robotics. Gabriela coordinates the activities of the Ropardo Research & Innovation Center, which plays a strategic role in team development and business growth. Her dedication to science and research is evident in the way she manages and supports R&I efforts across the company.
Ciprian Cândea, PhD

Ciprian Cândea, PhD, holds a master's degree in computer science and began his career specializing in group decision support systems. In 1999, he was appointed Technical Manager of the Artificial Intelligence Research Group (AIRG), which later evolved into ROPARDO. Since 2000, he has been a shareholder and serves as General Manager of ROPARDO. Ciprian leads the company’s strategic direction, combining deep technological expertise with a strong research background in computer science. With a lifelong commitment to developing forward-thinking software solutions, he actively participates in research and innovation (R&I) projects that align with ROPARDO’s mission and values. Under his leadership, ROPARDO has become a trusted technology partner in numerous European research initiatives, collaborating with organizations in mobile technology, eHealth, and decision support systems. With a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence as a driver of future solutions, Ciprian is currently exploring the ethical dimensions of AI in his research. He is dedicated to building ROPARDO as a competitive, agile, and innovation-driven software company. His areas of expertise also include agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
