Fakultni Nemocnice U Sv Anny V Brne

Founded in 1786, St. Anne’s University Hospital Brno (FNUSA) serves as a major teaching hospital affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at Masaryk University and is recognized as a comprehensive center for cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and oncological care.

The FNUSA hospital is home to the International Clinical Research Center (ICRC), a next-generation research hub focused on developing advanced methods for the prevention, early diagnosis, and personalized treatment of cardiovascular and neurological diseases. ICRC fosters close collaboration between clinicians and scientists, both locally and internationally, including partnerships with institutions like the Mayo Clinic.

In the DORIAN GRAY project, FNUSA is involved in WP5 – Data Protection, and contributes its clinical and research expertise in neurology and cardiology, supporting the development and validation of innovative strategies for early detection and prevention of neurodegenerative diseases.

Lenka Krajčovičová MD, PhD

Assistant professor, First Department of Neurology

Lenka Krajčovičová MD, PhD is Head of Center for Cognitive Disorders, Department of Neurology at FNUSA and Assistant Professor of Neurology at Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. Her clinical and scientific topics are neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer´s disease (AD), Parkinson´s disease (PD) and related disorders. With long term expertise in the field, she is committed to provide highly specialized and innovative diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to healthcare and timely detection of cognitive impairment in neurodegeneration, AD in particular. She has been involved as principal investigator or sub-investigator in numerous national and international research projects and clinical trials on AD and PD.

Robert Prosecký MD, PhD

Assistant professor, Second Department of Internal Medicine

Robert Prosecký MD, PhD is a leading expert in internal medicine with a focus on cardiovascular prevention and obesity management. Based at the II. Department of Internal Medicine, St. Anne’s University Hospital Brno, he leads and contributes to research projects aimed at early detection and intervention strategies. His clinical research primarily covers atherosclerosis, metabolic disorders, and non-invasive diagnostic methods. Dr. Prosecký actively collaborates on national and international projects and is committed to translating research innovations into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes.

Vendula Kocandová

Data Manager

With a background in Population Studies at Masaryk University, Vendula Kocandová is a Data Manager at the Biostatistics Department of St. Anne’s University Hospital in Brno and the International Clinical Research Center. In this role, she is responsible for the creating and managing databases, assisting with data collection, data quality assurance, cleaning and exporting datasets.
