Ivana Galinovic, MD PhD

Specialist in Radiology

Ivana Galinovic is a radiologist and clinical researcher at Charite’s Center for Stroke Research Berlin (CSB), where she's heading the division of CSB Neuroradiology. Her particular field of interest and expertise is the use of magnetic resonance imaging for the diagnosis and imaging guided treatment of ischemic stroke as well as diagnostic imaging of cerebral small vessel disease. Within the Dorian Gray project she will, in close collaboration with Charite’s Departments of Neurology and Psychiatry, lead the COGIT-MCI STUDY (Implementation study in mild cognitive impairment and cerebrovascular risk factors). In addition, her team will construct and run the MRI post-processing pipeline for the extraction of imaging features used for training Dorian Gray’s predictive model (the digital twin).

Prof. Dr. Matthias Endres

Director Department of Neurology/Group Leader Interdisciplinary Stroke Research

Prof. Endres is the medical director of the Department of Neurology with Experimental Neurology at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin. He has a long-standing research interest in stroke and brain-heart interactions. He will contribute his expertise in the conduct of clinical trials and the establishment of clinical patient cohorts during the COGIT-MCI STUDY (Implementation study in mild cognitive impairment and cerebrovascular risk factors).

Julian Hellmann-Regen, MD

Senior Physician, Head of the Geriatric Medicine Module, Gerontopsychiatric Day Clinic and Neurobiological Laboratory

Julian Hellmann-Regen is Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, with a focus on neuropsychiatric disorders and aging. His research explores mechanisms of neuroinflammation and Alzheimer’s disease pathology. He currently leads clinical and translational research projects in Alzheimer’s Disease and has designed and conducted randomized controlled trials in treatment-resistant depression. As Head of multiple clinical units and the neurobiology laboratory at Charité, he will contribute his expertise to the COGIT-MCI STUDY (Implementation study in mild cognitive impairment and cerebrovascular risk factors).
