What can cardiovascular health tell us about the risk of cognitive decline?

This is one of the questions DORIAN GRAY will bring to the next Alzheimer Europe’s Research Insights webinar, taking place online on 6 October 2026, from 14:00 to 15:30 CET.

The session, titled “Brain health across the dementia continuum: risk reduction and prevention”, will bring together three European research projects – DORIAN GRAY, Multi-MeMo and ABOARD – to look at prevention from different but complementary angles.

For DORIAN GRAY, Mauro Massussi from the University of Brescia will present the project’s work on primary prevention and cardiovascular risk factors.

The webinar will also look at lifestyle interventions and secondary prevention, opening up a broader discussion on how brain health can be supported before and after the first signs of cognitive decline appear.

The event will be an opportunity to compare approaches, connect research findings and discuss how different areas of expertise can contribute to better prevention strategies.

The DORIAN GRAY project will participate in the upcoming Final Conference of the AFFIRMO project, taking place on 8 September 2026 as a hybrid event at Aalborg University, Copenhagen, with online participation available via Microsoft Teams. The conference will bring together leading international experts, researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and patient representatives to discuss the future of integrated care for older adults living with multimorbidity and atrial fibrillation.
