On 27-29 October 2026, DORIAN GRAY’s partner Alzheimer Europe, in collaboration with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, will host the 36th Alzheimer Europe Conference in Dublin.

This event will bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and caregivers to discuss the latest advancements in Alzheimer disease and dementia care. It will focus on cutting-edge research, treatment innovations, and strategies for improving care and support for individuals living with these conditions.

Registrations

Registrations are now open, with different options for attendees. With early bird rates available until 30 June, participants can take advantage of significant savings while securing their spot at this key event. Moreover, discounted rates are available for people living with dementia, full-time students, and caregivers, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of participants.

Call for abstracts

The call for abstracts for the 36th Alzheimer Europe Conference is now open, offering a unique opportunity for researchers, healthcare professionals, and advocates to share their work with an international audience. Abstracts are welcome on a broad range of topics, including scientific research, clinical trials, dementia care, policy initiatives, and the experiences of people living with dementia, as well as those aligned with the DORIAN GRAY project, particularly focusing on early detection of cognitive decline and innovative prevention approaches.

Submissions for both oral and poster presentations can be made via the online submission portal until 30 April 2026. All abstracts will be reviewed by the Programme Committee, and successful submissions will be notified by mid-June. Presenters will need to register for the conference by the early bird deadline to confirm their participation.

Bursary for early-stage researchers

Furthermore, the Alzheimer Europe Foundation, in collaboration with the INTERDEM Academy, is offering ten bursaries of €1,000 each to support early‑stage researchers who wish to attend and present their work at the 36th Alzheimer Europe Conference. These bursaries are intended for researchers within five years of obtaining their degree from eligible European countries with a gross national income below 90 % of the EU average.

Applicants must submit their abstract along with a short bio and motivation statement by 30 April 2026 through the abstract submission portal under the topic “Dementia researchers of the future – Innovative approaches to dementia”. Successful candidates will give a brief presentation during a special symposium at the conference.
